The Borgata is located at the foot of the Alps, a place where you will feel like you have stepped back in time. This is definitely a place where you can 'get away from it all', enjoy quiet, rural surroundings hiking and even a dip in the river. As we are living in a working Borgata you will need to have some sturdy shoes and will certainly be interacting with nature. Horses, cows, goats, sheep all pass by our house as the livestock is moved to summer grazing. We keep chickens and rabbits, and have a veggie garden and you are welcome to pick something fresh to include with your meals. Although we are a rural community the town of Pinerolo is a short bus ride away and it is also possible to connect to Turin by train for a day trip. It's also possible to be in France for a day trip, we often do this through the summer and it's wonderful.
