Would you like to have breakfast watching the sunrise over the sea and catch a glimpse of the Albanian mountains on the horizon? At Monica's House Otranto, from the terrace overlooking the sea and the walls of the Castle, this spectacle is reality every morning. The apartment is perfectly central, just 20 metres from the Castle of Otranto, yet quiet and cool on the second floor with lift, far from the hustle of the historic centre: perfect for a couple wishing to experience Otranto in full autonomy and romance. Bright and carefully furnished, it features a living room with kitchenette, a double bedroom and an equipped terrace with washing machine. The property is accessible both from the main entrance on Via Borsellino and from a dedicated pedestrian passageway opening onto Via Primaldo, very close to the Castle.
My name is Monica and for over 26 years I have been working in hospitality, among the first in Puglia to welcome not tourists, but guests into my own home. Monica's House Otranto is truly my home, a tourist rental where I put all the love and care I would reserve for my own family. I combine the stay with my great passion: events, cooking classes, food experience tours at our Agrosì farm and experiences personally curated by me, where guests don't just watch but actively take part. Sharing the flavours, traditions and territory of Salento with everyone who stays with me is what makes every stay truly special.
Monica's House Otranto is located in the heart of the city, where everything is just metres away: the beach, historic centre, Castle, Museum, restaurants, bars and pharmacy. The bus stop is right on Via Primaldo, very convenient for those who want to explore Salento without a car. Otranto is one of the most beloved destinations on the Adriatic coast of Salento, with its medieval historic centre, the Cathedral with its famous mosaic floor and the crystal-clear waters of the Baia dei Turchi. We are also particularly happy to welcome pilgrims and walkers: Otranto is both a starting point and arrival of historic routes, and we are always ready to offer authentic and attentive hospitality to meet their needs.
