Welcome to our guesthouse! Located in the mountains, we are on the cusp of Liguria and at the gates to Alto Monferrato, known for its stunning scenery and wine production. We offer an authentic Italian holiday experience, immersed in nature. In our small village you will find a wonderful pizzeria (Il Viandante), a burger bar that makes great cocktails and organizes hikes and activities (La Ventura), another bar perfect for getting breakfast croissants (Suzy’s), a small shop for necessities and a lovely restaurant inside a hotel (Ristorante/ albergo Moretti). Outside you will have a large garden with a swimming pool (7x 4 metres), for private use, as well as a beautiful gazebo to relax and dine in the shade. We also have a barbecue for you to use as well as utensils. Inside the house you will find everything you need for a wonderful relaxing stay. Cooking equipment, full kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels. The house consists of 4 bedrooms, each with a double bed, and one room has a single bed also. There is a travel cot available for guests traveling with a baby. Our property consists of two houses; the Villa and the guesthouse. Both have a separate garden. The woods below the property are owned by us and you are free to explore them. During the year, we sometimes have hedgehogs that we rehabilitate and set free in the woods. We also have chickens at the property that lay delicious colourful eggs.

My name is Hannah, and with my partner Federico, we opened our doors in 2021 to guests. I come from Ireland, and am passionate about this beautiful area. I can tell you about the local products produced in the area as well as recommend wine and cheese pairings if you would like! I also love to garden, particularly growing vegetables in the summer. Federico can help you to make bookings at local restaurants. We live on the property in the Villa along with our 3 dogs. Guest privacy and comfort is our number 1 priority so we will always inform you before coming down to the guest house. We are nearby if you have any trouble with anything.

We are located in Moretti, Ponzone. A mountaineous area in Alto Monferrato. Piedmont. This area has plenty of stunning hiking routes leading to panoramic views of the mountains. It is also great for mountain biking. In 2024 Moretti held the Enduro Series, mountain biking competition. We are 15 minutes from a wonderful little town called Sassello, that is bustling in the Summer. Here there is a supermarket, multiple bars and a gelataria. From our location you can reach the Ligurian coast in less than 1 hour. From there you can explore the towns on the Italian Riviera such as Albisola, Celle Ligure, Varazze, Arenzano etc and you can also reach Genova in 1hr 45. If you explore in the other direction, in 35 minutes you will reach the towns of Acqui Terme or Ovada. Acqui Terme is famous for its natural thermal spring, rich in sulfur. You can see the fountain in the city square and feel the naturally hot temperature of the water at 75 degrees. Acqui Terme was also an ancient Roman city, so as you get nearer to the city you will notice the remaining Roman Acquaducts beside the river. Acqui Terme is also famous for the production of Brachetto D’Acqui DOCG , a sweet red sparkling wine served with desert. From Acqui, you can discover multiple towns each famous for their own wines, for example Nizza Monferrato famous for the Nizza DOCG, a red wine made from Barbera grapes. You can also reach the area of Langhe, home of the famous Barolo wine. On the drive you will pass rolling hills of vineyards tipical of the area. In 2024 both Acqui Terme and Ovada were recognised as European Cities of wine. A wonderful honour to acknowledge the rich history of wine production in the area. Ovada produces the Dolcetto d’Ovada, a dry, medium bodied red wine usually consumed young. If you are a lover of red wines, you will find yourself in the right place. In Piedmont they say “if it’s not red, it’s not wine” due to their historical production of predominantly red grape varieties.
