Palazzo Lucchini is part of Casa Franci Montalcino, a family-run hospitality group born in the heart of the medieval village of Montalcino. Our story is rooted in wine: the family has been producing Brunello di Montalcino at the Tassi estate since 1999, and over time this passion has grown to embrace hospitality, dining and curated experiences across the territory. Today the group brings together Suites, houses and a villa, the farm-to-table restaurant Drogheria & Locanda Franci, La Sosta wine bar and Enoteca La Fortezza. Palazzo Lucchini, with its six suites in a historic palazzo, is the newest chapter of this journey. Guests can expect an authentic elegance, lived rather than displayed: breakfasts prepared with local ingredients, a team that knows Montalcino as their own home, and the chance to experience the village at its own pace, between Brunello tastings, cellar visits and dinners at our restaurant. Sara and her team personally accompany every guest, from first contact to check-out.

A lift serves every floor, while the shared spaces, the relaxation area with its lounges and the secret inner garden invite you to slow down, between a glass of wine and the scent of the surrounding hills.

Palazzo Lucchini stands in the historic centre of Montalcino, the medieval hilltop village known worldwide for Brunello wine. Step outside the front door and you are immediately part of village life: artisan shops, cafés on the square, stone alleys and ancient walls that suddenly open onto sweeping views of the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. Within a short walk you reach the fourteenth-century Fortezza with its panoramic ramparts and our Enoteca La Fortezza, the Palazzo dei Priori, the Cathedral and the Civic and Diocesan Museum. What guests love most is the slow rhythm of the village: a sunset walk along the walls, a glass of Brunello on the square, church bells marking the hours. Montalcino is also the perfect base for exploring southern Tuscany: the Romanesque Abbey of Sant'Antimo, set among olive groves, is a ten-minute drive away, while Pienza, Montepulciano, the thermal village of Bagno Vignoni and San Quirico d'Orcia are all within half an hour. All around, Brunello wineries welcome visitors for tastings and vineyard tours, including our own Tassi estate.
