Experience this newly restored historic home in the center of Montalcino, built for one of the most influential families in Montalcino. Imagine having dinner in the 500 year old wine cellar or relaxing in bed as you look up at beautiful frescos on the ceiling. This four bedroom home complete with a large living room, dining room/kitchen, and wine cellar dining room is updated with the latest amenities, appliances, high-speed internet, and comfortable lush bedding.
Guests will be greeted by Valentina our local host who lives in Montalcino. Valentina will go over the amenities and workings of the home. She is also available to help our guests with local restaurant bookings or wine tasting reservations. Keep in mind that during busy seasons, booking restaurants and wine tour in advance is recommended. Most local wine shops will ship your wine home, so taste wines and ship them back to keep your Montalcino memories alive.
Palazzo Tamanti is located in the city center but in a quiet area so you will not be kept awake by local outdoor restaurants or bars. Being in the city center is also convenient for guests arriving by car since we are not in a ZTL zone, which has limited access to vehicles. All of the key features of Montalcino city are in walking distance from Palazzo Tamanti. Our favorite restaurants in the city center are 1-2 minutes walking. Being in the city center is great and our location is also in a quiet area so you don't have noisy bars keeping you up at night. Since we have a garage, you can quickly leave the Palazzo and drive to local attractions.
