Welcome to Palazzo Veneziani. Two exclusive residences in a palazzo from 1927, restored for those seeking real space and privacy. The Noble Residence and The Grand Terrace Residence each offer 40 sqm of indoor space beneath original high ceilings, plus private terraces among the largest in Monopoli: 60 sqm for the Noble, 70 sqm for the Grand Terrace. Both with outdoor shower, directly accessible from the apartment. Not shared spaces, not balconies: real terraces where you can live outdoors from morning to night. Each bedroom (mattress sizes 195cm x 160 cm) features a freestanding bathtub, positioned where the natural light catches it just right. This is not a detail: it is the reason you will look forward to coming back each evening. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with contemporary finishes. The kitchen is a real one, fully equipped, not a kitchenette – for those who want the freedom to cook when they choose. The lift, still rare in historic palazzos in Monopoli, takes you directly to your floor. No dragging suitcases up the stairs. Smart keyless entry means you arrive when you want, without waiting for anyone. The restoration took years. We kept everything worth keeping: the original ceilings, the proportions of the spaces, the soul of the palazzo. We added what was needed to live well today: the lift, the climate control, the technology you don't see but that works. Triple-glazed windows throughout for maximum comfort. Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, the main square, is 8 minutes away on foot. From there, the historic centre, the harbour, the sea. Close enough to walk anytime, far enough to escape the crowds. Fast WiFi, air conditioning and heating, flat-screen TV in every residence. Come back in the evening, step out onto your terrace, and you will understand why you chose this place. Maximum 2 guests per residence.
Welcome to Palazzo Veneziani. I am Tony, and I will be your host during your stay. When I first saw this 1927 palazzo, I knew it had to be saved. I bought it and spent years bringing it back to life. Not to create another holiday rental, but to create a place where people could experience Monopoli the way I do. Not as tourists passing through, but as guests who truly feel at home. What I love most about hospitality is simple. It is the moment when someone arrives tired from travelling, steps onto their private terrace, looks out over the rooftops, and I can see their shoulders drop. That moment when the holiday actually begins. That is why I do this. Monopoli is my home. I was born here, I grew up here, and I have watched it change over the years. I know which restaurant serves the best seafood without overcharging, which beach is quiet even in August, which street to take when the traffic builds up, where to find the perfect aperitivo spot at sunset. I know Monopoli the way only someone who loves it can. When I am not taking care of guests, you will find me exploring the coastline, discovering new places to eat, or simply enjoying a coffee in the piazza watching the world go by. I believe the best travel experiences come from local knowledge shared generously, and I am always happy to share mine. I do not run Palazzo Veneziani like a hotel. I answer messages personally. I am available when you need me, and I disappear when you do not. I give honest recommendations, the places I actually go to, not the ones that pay for advertising. If you need anything, just ask. If you prefer complete privacy, you will have it. You are not customers here. You are guests. See you soon, Tony
What our guests love most about this location is the balance. You are close to everything, yet you come back each evening to your own private space away from the crowds. Palazzo Veneziani sits in a well connected residential area of Monopoli. Within 200 metres you enter the central zone, and in just 9 minutes on foot you reach Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, the beating heart of the town. From there, the historic centre unfolds with its whitewashed alleyways, the ancient harbour where fishermen still bring in the morning catch, and the Adriatic Sea. For those arriving by car, this is the easiest part of Monopoli to park. Free street parking is available nearby, something almost impossible to find in the historic centre. No more circling for half an hour. Park, unload your bags, and your holiday begins. The train station is 850 metres away, perfect for exploring Puglia without a car. Polignano a Mare is just 15 minutes by train or car. Alberobello and its trulli 30 minutes. Ostuni, the white city, 40 minutes. Matera just over an hour. Lecce and its baroque splendour about 90 minutes. The hospital is nearby, which means excellent street lighting, well maintained roads, and a neighbourhood that feels safe at any hour. Within a few minutes walk you will find supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, restaurants and cafes frequented by locals rather than tourists. Back at the palazzo, triple glazed windows throughout ensure your comfort. You have the best of both worlds: a practical, well serviced location and the refined atmosphere of a carefully restored 1927 palazzo with private terraces, in room bathtubs, lift access and smart keyless entry. This is not the tourist Monopoli. This is the real one. And it is 9 minutes from your door.
