"Podere La Cava" is a typical Tuscan farmhouse located in the countryside between Montepulciano and Chianciano Terme. Since the end of 1800 belongs to the Ricci family that has always used it for the summer holidays. Surrounded by woods and olive groves, it enjoys a splendid view over the Val di Chiana that extends to the Trasimeno Lake. The farmhouse has recently been completely restored respecting the Tuscan tradition, preserving its original structure and furniture and using local materials and craftsmen. A just built pool, open from June to September, is available for the use of the guests of Podere La Cava.
The structure is very close to important spas and cities of art. The thermal baths of Montepulciano and Chianciano are right next door, those of Bagni Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo and San Casciano are just a few kilometers away as well as are the historic centers of Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, the whole Val d'Orcia and Val di Chiana. All places of interest in the southern Tuscany, Umbria and northern Lazio can be easily reached, also daily car trips to Rome and Florence are possible.
