The owners of Podere Pietreta are a couple of industry managers who, when got into retirement, invested their savings to accomplish a lifetime dream: to purchase and restructure an old farmhouse in Tuscany. Visiting 'agriturismi' has always been their favorite hobby: in Podere Pietreta they leveraged their multiple travel experiences, furnishing and equipping the apartments with passionate style and care. Podere Pietreta is an original Tuscan farmhouse from the 1700's, surrounded by beautiful countryside and olive trees. The property was recently renovated dividing the house into apartments and rooms, carefully maintaining all the characteristics of the original Tuscan style and elegantly adding all modern comforts. The big panoramic swimming pool by the house guarantees additional relax and amusement after a good sightseeing day or in hot days. The atmosphere of the property and the local people working there contribute to the typical, unique experience. All facilities at Podere Pietreta are powered by renewable energy from solar panels. Our guests can use an electric vehicle charging station upon request. The farmhouse is positioned on a hill with an incredible view of the Tuscany countryside, in the heart of Val d'Orcia - the area included by UNESCO in the World Heritage List. Radicofani, a mediaeval village famous for its grey-stone houses and the ‘Ghino di Tacco’ fortress overlooking it, is just 2km away. In the area, the famous wines, the different cheeses and hams, the typical restaurants with their traditional recipes contribute to an unforgettable vacation also from a culinary standpoint.

Radicofani, the village close to Podere Pietreta, is one of the main stops of the famous Via Francigena, the ancient road starting in France on which, since the Middle Ages, thousands of pilgrims have walked to reach St. Peter's Church in Rome. The village represents a little gem of Vald’Orcia, the area included by UNESCO in 2005 in the World Heritage list for its unparalleled countryside and villages. Val d’Orcia is located in the heart of Tuscany, south of Siena, surrounded by beautiful hills dividing it from Lazio and Umbria. Podere Pietreta is the ideal starting point for nearby excursions (30/60 minutes) to some of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany: Bagno Vignoni, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Radicofani, San Quirico d'Orcia, Chiusi, Cetona, Cortona, Arezzo, Siena. With a 20min drive you can reach the woods of Mount Amiata; the Umbria region is 30 minutes away.
