The Ambrosetti family settled in Avesa in 1917. Achille and his wife Maria put the estate back together, connecting the villa with the cottage and the park. Deeply in love with the atmosphere of the house and its surroundings, they chose this place to be the family residence where children would grow up and spend their childhood. To the family, Avesa was the place to nurture not only arts and thinking, but also the fruits of those beloved hills: vegetables from the garden, honey, oil to be shared with the family and offered to passing friends. A tradition that still today Maddalena carries on welcoming the guests of Villa Ambrosetti.

The restoration works completed in 2017 gave the Villa the appearance it shows today to its honored guests. The project successfully merges a modern design to the harmonious elements derived from tradition, brilliantly incorporated and enhanced thanks to care and love for detail and prestigious finishes. The Villa offers an array of different solutions, ideal both for families willing to enjoy long holidays and for shorter stays for couples and solo travellers. The three rooms and the suite were all named after the last century’s watercolors gracefully hanging on their walls portraying the flowers of the garden - dahlias, geraniums, roses and zinnias. Every room, freshly decorated with original antique pieces of furniture, has both air conditioning and fireplace, private bathroom and a delightful view on a particular glimple of the garden. The suite is equipped with an autonomous kitchen - ideal for long stays - and a living room with a cozy sofa bed to lodge up to four people.

A fine tree-lined street connects Avesa, a small village north of Verona, and the valley it was named after, with the very heart of the city. Few minutes away from the historical center, this picturesque hamlet still keeps ancient traditions alive while guarding the prestigious its artistic beauties. Plenty of architectural elements characterize the village: Camaldolino, the 13th century Romanesque-gothic church, Villa Scopoli and its park, the neo classical St. Martin of Tours church with its nine-bells campanile, the ancient monastery and the 15th century Villa Rotari. These constructions contribute to making Avesa a timeless place, with peaceful surroundings featuring ancient terracing and the dry-stone walls, muri a secco, by which fields of olive trees are still bounded by up to date.
