Codrongianos is part of the Logudoro territory. The physical boundaries of the region called Logudoro are rather uncertain. Generally, to limit Logudoro in a geographical sense, it can be said that it corresponds to the heart of the linguistic area where the Logudorese is spoken, which has as its center the ancient capital of the Giudicato of Torres, Ardara. More precisely today it is that area whose borders are Sennori and the mountains of Osilo-Nulvi to the north (linguistic border with Sassari and the other Corsican-derived languages), the Coghinas river to the east, the Sardinian sea to the west and the Montiferru-system Marghine-Goceano (the so-called Costera) to the south. Its main sub-regions are the Monteacuto, the Coros, the Goceano, the Marghine, the Meilogu, the Anglona, the Nurra, the Montiferru and the Planargia. Sometimes the term Logudoro is used restrictively to indicate a more limited territory which is in the center of the region, between Oschiri, Ploaghe and Bonorva.
