Honestly I dont know where to start. The staff was super hospitable. From the receptionists, the waiters, everyone was so cool. I basically ate 3 nights out of 3 at the hotel restaurant for dinner, as it was that good. I never got over the view of Castelsardo and the sea. Its just magical. Waking up to that view and reading or doing whatever, its just such a nice vibe. The room was comfortable and had everything needed, cleaned daily. I had a private parking next to the room, and easily drove to whatever I decided to do for the day.

We had a great stay. We loved pool, our room, breakfast, attentive staff, parking, property’s grounds and proximity to Castelsardo. Many thanks to Fabio at front desk. Thank you to restaurant’s team for preparing delicious meals. I will stay here in a heartbeat. I am not an easy 10/10 but this property really impressed me.

I loved this hotel- really simply and beautifully decorated. White washed walls and large shuttered windows, which opened to a view of the sea and the town. There was a peaceful terrace and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very kind and friendly and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I felt I was truly on holiday!

An excellent location for beaches, wine tasting and fine...

An excellent location for beaches, wine tasting and fine food. Important to get yourself up to the old town which is on the other side of the Castle and so not immediately viewable from the road or new town. The climb to the Old Town is not too bad but looks tough (10 minutes max of steepness) The food and drink is superb in the old town (and the new) no need to book. In late July is was still not to busy. A good "quality" of visitors makes this suitable for all ages and tastes - plenty of families, young couples, older folk all enjoying a friendly stylish place. Beaches at Valledoria are good and well catered for. The Lonely Planet guide is thin on information - dis and I suspect the reviewer hadnt actually been there! .Discover it for yourself - you will not be disappointed whatever your taste or budget. if you are in Sassari or Alghero - spend a few days in Castelsardo too.

We stayed for 9 nights in two Classic double rooms and one Classic single room. Upon arrival, we found that the photos on Booking.com were significantly more flattering than reality. The rooms were smaller than expected, and all windows faced an internal corridor. The single room was so small that our son struggled to sleep comfortably. We asked to upgrade to a double room by paying the difference, but the reception repeatedly told us to contact Booking.com and insisted that no rooms were available. The staff showed no willingness to help. Ironically, my wife found an available double room on the hotel's own website, so we had to book and pay for an additional room ourselves just to make our holiday enjoyable. Breakfast was a buffet but offered almost exactly the same selection every day: two types of cold cuts, cheese, yogurt and hard-boiled eggs. Do not expect scrambled eggs, omelettes, bacon or sausages. This may be acceptable for a 2–3 night stay, but it becomes very monotonous over 9 days. Another drawback was the extremely narrow exit from the underground garage, which made every departure stressful. On the positive side, the air conditioning worked well, the mattresses were comfortable and the beach was directly across the road. Overall, the value for money was among the worst we have experienced in the last ten years. What disappointed us most was not the size of the rooms but the hotel's unwillingness to resolve even a simple problem. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this accommodation.

Castelsardo is an amazing town with a beautiful castle on...

Castelsardo is an amazing town with a beautiful castle on top of the rocky hill. The town has beautiful streets with beautiful houses. Many restaurants, pizzerias and shops offer everything you need. Around the town there are two supermarkets where you can do your daily shopping. Food both in restaurants and shops is fairly priced. You can walk around on foot and everything is within 15 minutes walking distance. They have breathtaking sunsets there. VERY important tip, DO NOT PARK on the pavement if you don't want to get a fine. Even if the pavement is useless for pedestrians because there is a big pile of rubble or has the internet box in the middle and you park with just 2 wheels to not block the road, don't park there. The local police are looking for a chance to fine tourists for this ridiculous rule. It looks like it's ok to park and leave the car in the middle of the road, making it difficult to other drivers to omit the obstacle but the pavement is the sacred area. The biggest issue is the rubbish management for people renting accommodation. There were big recycle containers but locked and inaccessible. Fortunately, opposite to "Stadio Comunale", next to bus stop are big containers where you can segregate your rubbish. At the entrance to the beach "Spiaggia La Marina di Castelsardo" there are bins for rubbish so you don't have to carry your rubbish home. Beaches range from sandy Spiaggia La Marina di Castelsardo to rocky Spiaggia La Vignaccia. In general, Castelsardo is clean, beautiful, historical town with friendly local inhabitants. Definitely a place where you will want to return.

Beautiful town, just the right size, with amazing restaurants, neaplitane style pizza place, best gelato I have ever had. Amazingly looking castle, great views, the beaches could be clearer and the recycling trash policy is stupid :D but otherwise very nice place to stay.

Castelsardo itself is an interesting small city with its castle and round streets. Hikers and people doing "steps" should love hundreds of steers and narrow uphill streets, especially in the rather well preserved tower area. And, it hides so good seafood restaurants with spectacular views. I thought I had it all already, yet we were seriously surprised of the food and service quality. Sure, tripadvisor points tell the story. Yet in some cities you could find pizza kiosks also with ratings like 4.8, so watch out. Trekking and hiking roads are also near by. Beware of review dates. Some are full of bushes, still not cleaned, so it took us 3 tryouts to find a decent track. Most of these tracks are unmarked. Would be hard to find these if you have experienced German way of marking tracks.

We spent 4 nights in Castelsardo at Salvatore and Rita's beautiful apartment. We had such an incredible time there, they are wonderful people and it felt like staying with family. The apartment has the best view of the city, a few minutes from the beach and it is comfortable with all amenities and parking. The location was also great to explore around Sardinia and we visited many places with ease. Thank you so much for making our stay so special. We will be back soon!
