Traditional stone-built home with lake views located in the centre of the historic village of Careno. The house has a private garden and is arranged on two levels. The kitchen and living room are located on the ground floor and one bathroom plus two bedrooms with lake views on the first floor. The house is very cozy with wooden ceilings and large open spaces with a large seating area in the living & dining room. The guests will have access to a Nespresso Coffee Machine for their breakfast. Wifi has just been upgraded to a high-speed connection. We have a Smart TV with most common streaming applications. The bedrooms offer beautiful views over Lake Como and are equipped with one double-bed and two single-beds. The bathroom has been fully renovated just recently. We have a covered private parking area along the main street, about a 5-minute walk away. Plus there's free parking along the main street. Please be advised that there are a some steps down to reach the house as the town of Careno is built on a slope. Careno is an old town entirely built in stone. It is very characteristic but it doesn’t have any services. There is only one restaurant by the lake. The closest supermarket is located in Nesso, only five minutes by car. Self check-in is available for guests with an easily accessible pad-lock.

Careno lies between Como and Bellagio, with a charming lakeside beach and great hiking and excursion opportunities. The historic village of Careno is very characteristic: a bunch of little stone houses perched on the lake side. Its position is strategic for exploring the surrounding area and visiting most of what Como Lake has to offer. By car you will easily reach both Como and Bellagio, and by ferry you can cross the lake and visit the main attractions on the other side. You can then reach by foot (5 minutes walking) Careno beach and enjoy some relax by the lake. The best way to explore this region is by car. You can easily reach Careno by bus or ferry which runs daily from Como to Bellagio. Careno doesn't have any shops or markets, only one restaurant. The closest small markets are in Nesso, the next town over, just 5 minutes away by car. For convenience, I recommend buying groceries in Como.
