Why Pioppo? Becouse Pioppo is a small village only 4 Km. From Monreale, and 10 Km. From Palermo city center. All year round, the most beautiful attractions are the Monreale Cathedral and Cloister, such as the countless churches and buildings in the magnificent historical center of Palermo. Near by, during the sring and summer seasons, you can enjoy the several natural trails like “Naca Nica”with its small and fairy waterfalls, or the adventure park of Casaboli. On the coast, you will find uncountable beaches and seaside small towns. You can easily move from Pioppo thanks to the guaranteed bus service, and in place you will find bars, restaurants, pharmacy and tobacconist. Last but not lest, you will have the unique opportunity to taste the delicious typical food, like the bread, the caponata, the sausages, the famous “Pioppo meat rolls” and “cardo vurricatu” (literally: “buried cardoon”), and many other local products.
