The Place is a property located within one of historic twin skyscrapers from 1920 and features interiors entirely dedicated to Made in Italy design. The furnishings include Cassina chairs designed by Gio Ponti; the bathrooms are produced by Idea Group; the wallpaper is created by a leading Italian designer wallcovering company; and the rooms are equipped with SMEG refrigerators and SMEG kettles. In essence, with the exception of ultra-flat televisions, every element of the property is Made in Italy.

The Place is located just a two-minute walk from the metro station. In the square, guests will find a convenient taxi stand, as well as a tram line that connects directly to some of Milan’s most iconic landmarks. The tram reaches Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper in just five minutes and arrives at Piazza del Duomo in approximately twelve minutes. San Siro Stadium is as well on the same tram line station 2 minutes walk from the property. The twin towers located at the entrance of Via Giorgio Washington, overlooking Piazza Piemonte, are widely considered the first skyscrapers ever built in Milan. Constructed in the early 1920s, they marked the symbolic beginning of vertical architecture in the city. Although modest by today’s standards, at the time they represented a radical urban and architectural innovation.
