Nestled on the outskirts of the small commune of San Michele Salentino, less than 2km away, a small Trullo of 30msq, adjacent to owner/hosts main house, is ideal for anyone looking for a taste of nature. The property is surrounded by olive & fig trees and home grown vegetables including tomatoes and various herbs as well as fresh eggs from resident chickens along with our olive oil. The property offers privacy with only the retired seafarer owners residing, a couple from Italy (Sorrento) & England (Cornwall). Sorry no pets due to resident cats, who only like to share the property with human guests. The non-smoking Trullo has a separate bathroom with a kitchenette in the corridor. A small double bed in one small alcove, dining table in the central cone with the possibility of folding single bed (please advise in-advance if this is required) behind the dining table, and a small sofa in the other small cone (bed, dining table and sofa all within one room). The TV that can be adjusted to be viewed from all areas. Kitchenette offers everything needed, including electric hob & mini convector oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle & moka express plus washing machine. All windows & door are double glazed, with shutters & mosquito nets, keeping the rooms cool in the summer, although there is available air conditioning. Outside space offers sofa seating area in front of the trullo, plus outside dining under the gazebo with traditional BBQ. Guests are free to roam around the large land and interact with nature. Whilst owners are available for any information or assistance needed by the guests, (whilst maintaining their privacy) it may particularly appeal to single travelers (and couples with a child) who wish to stay in the countryside, but prefer the security of on site company, without having to share with other guests.

We retired to this area for its quiet nature and bustle free location. We love working around the property, growing our own vegetables, taking care of our chickens and being entertained by our cats. San Michele Salentino is one of the smaller towns and we love the intimacy associated with a close knit community having both grown up in large tourist locations, Sorrento and Cornwall. Sharing this kind of ambient with our guests provides a more personal touch to their vacation experience, almost like having friends staying.

Our guests like the location, central to most attractions in this area of Puglia, near the beaches and great restaurants and bars. San Michele Salentino is not really classed as a tourist location like the larger towns eg Ostuni (White City), Locorotondo etc, so everything is more personal, making tourists feel like locals.
