Borgo Valle Rita is a certified organic farm in the hills of Ginosa. Enjoy elegant, countryside accommodations immersed in 103 hectares of agricultural land, not far from the Apulian coast. Borgo Valle Rita offers simple but comfortable apartments with antique furniture and a range of facilities. In the hotel’s peaceful gardens you will find a swimming pool and tennis courts. A children’s playground is available, and near the hotel you will find horse riding stables and a golf club. You can also explore the area on mountain bike. The wonderful beaches of Policoro and Metaponto are nearby. Many interesting towns are also just a short drive from the hotel, including ancient Matera, a World Heritage Site, and Taranto. Back at the property you can enjoy the best of regional cuisine, served in the former farmhouse. Ingredients are all fresh and many are produced on-site. Villa Rita’s organic fruit, vegetables, olives, grapes, oil and wine can all be tasted and purchased at the establishment. During summer the hotel may only be bookable for weekly stays, from Saturday to Saturday.

Property info

The farmhouse retains the simplicity of the houses of the Apulian countryside, yet with a touch of refinement due to the care of the details. The apartments at the disposal of the guests are, in fact, finely restored and furnished with period furniture. They are fully self-contained, as well as are equipped with hot / cold air conditioning, all have a bathroom with a shower cubicle with both bed and bath linen and kitchenette, fridge, crockery, dishes, cutlery and glasses. With a bar and a pool with a view Introduced by an impressive avenue of majestic palms, you will find the restaurant. In those that were formerly the dormitory of the laborers who for a few months moved to the company for the Season of the Olive, today are being restored and finely restored, with tufa to face view, two suggestive rooms with two majestic twin chimneys as well as a room used by our guests for succulent breakfasts and for typical tastings. The Valle Rita farmhouse is part of an ancient feudal palace of Princess Maria Cristina of Austria (16th century). Today there is a farmhouse in an organic farm located at the strategic intersection between Apulia, Calabria and Basilicata. The structure is located at the strategic intersection of the main roads that connect the three regions: Apulia, Calabria and Basilicata, so that from Valle Rita you can visit all places of greatest historical and artistic interest: Matera, Taranto, Alberobello, Ostuni, Otranto , Lecce, Metaponto, the streets of Frederick II of Swabia, and more about the archeology of Magna Grecia. Just a few miles from the farm you can play golf in an 18-hole golf course and take natural walks on foot, by bicycle or on horseback in the Ionian coast beaches.
