Villa al Piano is one of the historic residences after VILLA CARUSO, home of the famous tenor in the municipality of Lastra a Signa. Recently renovated to best accommodate our guests, it has five rooms, all located on the first floor of the building, accessible only by a short staircase (NO ELEVATOR). Three of the rooms have air conditioning, the other two have fans; all have a private bathroom with shower, complimentary toiletries (hotel amenities), linens, a hairdryer, and daily room cleaning. At check-in, you will be given the keys to your room and to access the building independently so as not to disrupt your plans. Direct access is also possible via the private parking exclusively for hotel guests! The entire hotel is equipped with surveillance cameras to ensure greater security for your belongings. Breakfast (for those who book with this service included) is served via a coupon that we will give you upon arrival at the pastry shop/bakery "MENCHETTI dal 1948," a Tuscan excellence that even boasts bars inside the major boutiques in Florence. The bakery is open every day from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm; you can find freshly baked pastries, savory items, and breads at any time, and they also have gluten-free products. We also recommend it for a pizza or an aperitif. The pool and park are for the exclusive use of room guests; sun loungers, umbrellas, and even a towel are available so your suitcase will have more space for souvenirs. The Villa was built in 1900 in Art Nouveau style as the residence of one of the town's historic families, owners of the Red Brick Forge, which built the historic houses of Lastra. It was acquired by my mother, who, after 26 years in the restaurant business as a chef, wanted a more intimate setting where she could interact with customers. Today, I continue to pursue the same

Lastra a Signa is a small village just 12 km from Florence. It's known for being a city of sound, home to the villa of the famous tenor CARUSO, and for being the birthplace of saffron! The village has everything: from a hypermarket to a shop selling traditional products. It boasts two restaurants: one of the best Tuscan trattorias where you can enjoy the famous Florentine steak, "Antica Trattoia SANESI" (within walking distance) and the "GIPPINO" ice cream parlor, winner of first prize for two consecutive years at the European Ice Cream Festival! The station is a 900m walk away and offers hourly connections in 18 minutes directly to Florence's Santa Maria Novella Central Station (Historic Center), which is also accessible by car and is only 11 km away.
