The Bernasconi family, originally from Narzole, moved to the Principality of Monaco for business, where they made their fortune at the court of Prince Rainier. Having become an important family of doctors and merchants, in the mid-19th century they purchased and renovated what would become Villa Bernasconi. During this period, the Bernasconis spent long periods in Narzole, for business or vacation. The Bernasconis were well-liked by everyone, and the lady, nicknamed "Madama Bionda," was known for her kindness to those less fortunate. Toward the end of the 1960s, it was purchased by Dr. Massarengo, who transformed it from a private residence into a hotel with a restaurant and six guest rooms. By the 1920s, however, it seemed that the villa's ancient charm had been definitively lost and that it was destined to be abandoned... The Arnulfo family undertook a major restoration and renovation project, and in 2021, Villa Bernasconi was reborn as its original family name and returned to its former splendor.

The Villa Bernasconi – Rooms and Restaurant project was born in 2019 from Ferdinando Arnulfo's love for his homeland, the Langhe, and the passion that drove him, his wife Lina, and their sons Andrea and Maurizio. After two years of construction, the Villa will open in summer 2021.
