Villa Celeste is located on the sea just 5 minutes from the city center of Cagliari, under the Calamosca lighthouse, at the foot of the characteristic hills of Sant ‘Elia-Calamosca, 50 meters from the fifteenth-century Torre del Prezzemolo, 200 meters from the seventeenth-century building of the former Lazzaretto (now museum) and not far from the eighteenth-century Fortino di Sant ‘Ignazio, easily reachable through a trekking path (or for the more skilled also by mountain bike) that starts right in front of the villa. Less than 100 meters from the villa is the beach of Sant’Elia (la spiaggiola) and next to the villa the suggestive Cala Bernat beach, reachable only by sea or from the villa via the rocks. Near the villa there are excellent restaurants specializing in Mediterranean seafood cuisine. Some parts of the municipal road leading to the villa are bumpy, so the use of sports cars is not recommended. It is possible to park for free in front of the villa. In the garden of Villa Celeste, there are common transit areas, to access the rocks that lead to the Cala Bernat beach (30 m) and to use the fitness equipment: 1 spin-bike, 1 trx, 1 scott machine , 1 multifunctional rack, a barbell bench, skipping rope.

Villa Celeste is full of tourist attractions in the surrounding area: it overlooks Cala Bernat and its exclusive beach, reachable directly from the villa, 50 meters away is the ancient Parsley Tower, 500 meters away is the Lazzaretto museum full of events, a few hundred meters on the coast and in the hill behind, many bunkers from the Second World War set in the rocks, the lighthouse of Capo Sant'Elia and the fortress of Sant'Ignazio. A trekking route that starts from the villa reaches the devil's saddle, symbol of the city of Cagliari. Details to note To get around the villa, a car or scooter is practically essential. There is a bus stop about 500 meters away, but we strongly recommend that you rent a vehicle to reach the city or to explore other beaches in the surrounding area. The nearest supermarket is about 800 meters away. The last 500 meters to get to the villa are along a road with a beautiful view of the sea but a little bumpy and sometimes there is waste on the roadside which is not always promptly collected by the municipal administration. The area is safe but a little isolated, next to the villa there are two other houses and a famous restaurant. In the garden of the villa it is possible to meet cats, seagulls or other birds, please do not give them food or they become a little too invasive. Tap water is drinkable and has an excellent flavour.
