Basic Japanese room in the middle of the house with 3 futon mats, and a small table. All in all comfortable and fine to stay for one night. Quiet night. Friendly host.

― A place where the warmth of “Wa” (Japanese harmony) and human connection come together ― Located in Kamuro, Hashimoto City, Wakayama Prefecture, Guesthouse Rin is a small inn that blends the warmth of a traditional Japanese house with a calm, modern atmosphere. Surrounded by the gentle scent of wood, guests can relax and unwind in a space that feels both nostalgic and peaceful — a place designed to feel like “home away from home.” The guesthouse is run by a road bike enthusiast and warmly welcomes cyclists. An indoor bike rack is available, allowing you to securely store your beloved bicycle. With easy access to the scenic cycling routes along the Kinokawa River and the pilgrimage road to Mt. Koya, it’s an ideal base for your riding adventures. After a day of cycling, relax in the cozy shared living area and rest your body. The location is just a short walk from Kamuro Station (Nankai Koya Line), at the foot of Mt. Koya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nearby, you can visit Jison-in Temple, deeply connected to Kobo Daishi, or simply enjoy the peaceful nature that surrounds the area. It’s a great choice not only for sightseeing but also for workations and long-term stays. In the shared kitchen and living room, guests naturally connect — sharing travel stories, exchanging local tips, and creating new friendships. The name “Rin” (輪) embodies our wish for people to connect, and for smiles and relationships to form a beautiful “circle.” With a maximum capacity of 10 guests, the space offers the perfect balance of privacy and togetherness — ideal for solo travelers or small groups alike. Whether you’re here for sightseeing, cycling, or simply to take a break from everyday life, Guesthouse Rin offers a tranquil, heartwarming stay where Japanese simplicity and human warmth come together.
My hobbies are road cycling and running. On my days off, I often go cycling along the Kinokawa River or up toward Mt. Koya, enjoying the seasonal breeze and local scenery. Through meeting fellow cyclists, I developed a strong desire to share the beauty of this area with more people — which eventually inspired me to open this guesthouse. What I love most about running this place is meeting people. When I talk with guests for the first time and hear about their journeys and what brought them here, it’s always inspiring. And when they say, “I’ll come back again,” it truly makes me happy. I find great meaning in seeing how new “circles of connection” are formed through each stay. Guesthouse Rin is a place where travelers can stop by, relax, and feel at home along their journey. Whether you wish to spend quiet time surrounded by nature, explore by bicycle, or simply feel the warmth of human connection, I hope this guesthouse will offer you a peaceful and heartwarming stay.
