And we want to make everyone's lives just a little more colorful. That's what we are thinking about in Izu. ■IZU TRAIL Journey We are hosting a trail running race that has been running since 2013. With the concept of "creating a new Izu journey," this trail running race covers 72km from Matsuzaki Town on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, through the Izu Peninsula's national parks to Shuzenji Onsen in Izu City. More than 1,700 runners from all over the world participate, and on the day of the race, Shuzenji Onsen, the finish line, is bustling with activity.

ITJ BASE Shuzenji, located in Shuzenji Onsen, Izu City, was started with the idea of ​​becoming a base for people who travel the nature and trails of the Izu Peninsula, and for people who go on bicycle and motorcycle tours. Shuzenji Onsen is known as the most historic hot spring resort in Izu, and its location in the center of the Izu Peninsula makes it an ideal base for traveling. The building was renovated from a former pharmacy that was built 48 years ago. There is a cafe on the first floor. At the cafe, you can enjoy a menu of local and handmade products, including craft beer made in Shuzenji, original coffee, homemade craft cola and lemonade. There are unisex and women-only dormitory-type rooms. The spacious capsule-type rooms (bunk beds) and comfortable mattresses are popular. You can use the shared kitchenette, toilet, shower room, and lockers for free during your stay. (Luggage can be stored before check-in and after check-out) Located between Shuzenji and Hie Shrine, the day-trip hot spring "Hakoyu" is right in front of you. You can also enjoy a foot bath at "Dokko-no-Yu" located just a two-minute walk away. The bamboo forest path, a four-minute walk away, is also highly recommended when lit up at night, so be sure to enjoy an evening stroll around Shuzenji Onsen.
