Welcome to Kiwi House! We are a single-unit, vacation-rental style accommodation located near Central Japan Chubu airport. (Please note that this is not a hotel room) ★ Private entrance with PIN entry, your own shower & toilet ★ 10-min train ride from Chubu Nagoya Airport and 5-min walk from the nearest station (Kabaike) ★ Can sleep 2 people (one double bed) ★ Free parking off-site ★ Free wifi, Amazon Prime, Netflix ★ Best for early morning departures, late night arrivals ★ Quiet, traditional neighborhood ★ After each stay: All main surfaces are fully cleaned, windows are opened for a couple of hours to ventilate, all bedding is changed. Feel free to contact us!
Kiwi House has been hosting guests for over 5 years now. The host, Wally, has been in Japan for over 20 years and knows the area well. If you have any questions about this region please don't hesitate to ask. * Please note: We'll need to send you the directions to our place, so please provide us with an email address to send them to.
This is a traditional, quiet, Japanese neighborhood so there's hardly any car or foot traffic outside. In the summer we get a nice breeze off the nearby sea. The nearest train station (Kabaike) is just 5 minutes walk from here. Feel free to explore our neighborhood and stroll down to the small local fishing port less than 10 minutes walk away. There's a nice seaside path to walk along the coastline. To the east of our place, you'll see traditional rice fields. (in season) Family Mart and Lawson and convenience stores are 7-20 minutes walk away. There are a few Japanese style restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance, including sushi, udon and traditional 'izakaya' style pubs. Please note that most of these restaurants close at around 9:30pm. For more variety, the area around Tokoname station and also a large AEON shopping mall are only a few minutes train ride away. Most restaurants and shops close at AEON mall at 9pm. Around Tokoname station you’ll find the charming ‘Pottery Walk’ pathway which brings you into the center of Tokoname’s famous ceramics industry.
