The building was once a dental clinic, but today it welcomes guests with a beautiful chandelier-lit common space and cozy rooms filled with the warmth of wood. I love traveling and have stayed at many guesthouses across Europe. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, so if we have the chance to meet during your stay, I would love to chat with you. I’m always happy to recommend great local restaurants, hot springs, and sightseeing spots in the area. I run this guesthouse mostly by myself, including cleaning and sometimes cooking. Because I manage the place personally, I try to stay attentive to small details so that guests can feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay. Explore the Charm of Daigo The most famous attraction in the area is Fukuroda Falls, one of Japan’s most beautiful waterfalls, which attracts visitors from all over the world. As a hidden gem, I highly recommend Tsukimachi Falls. What makes it special is that you can actually walk behind the waterfall and see it from the inside — a unique experience you won’t forget. Daigo is also known for its beautiful autumn foliage, the scenic Kuji River, and several unique places to visit, such as a nostalgic school museum where you can step into a historic Meiji-era classroom. The town is also full of delicious local foods, including Okukuji Shamo chicken, apples, and some of the best rice in Japan. Visitors can enjoy many experiences here, such as nature activities and relaxing hot springs, making Daigo a wonderful destination for travelers. Around Hitachi-Daigo Station, you will find a charming retro shopping street that is fun just to walk through. There are also many excellent restaurants lined up along the street. Enjoy exploring the Daigo shopping district — walking, tasting local foods, and discovering the town little by little.
