Our renovated, fully modernized "Kura" (a traditional Japanese warehouse), is a labour of love by its owners (us, a Japanese and American couple), offering a Japan countryside getaway guests will never forget, located right in the heart of an UNESCO-listed "Geopark", and adjacent to the beautiful Tedori River in the foothills of Mt. Hakusan.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a smile and a welcoming atmosphere enabling you to quickly relax. We are happy to introduce guests to the highlights of the Hakusan UNESCO Global Geopark, as well as various local hot springs, ski resorts, and seasonal festivals and events. We also have several tours on offer, from bicycling to scenic spots and local restaurants, to hosted sake + sushi dinner pairings right in the guesthouse. 雅ゲストハウス (Miyabi Guesthouse) is located at the foot of Mt. Hakusan, an area rich in natural beauty and ancient history. Surrounded by nature, it offers a peaceful and relaxing environment—perfect for unwinding in tranquility. We can also introduce delicious local restaurants featuring fresh regional ingredients. Please note that some restaurants require reservations, so feel free to contact us if you wish to dine out. Recommended Activities Around the Area Tedori Canyon Road: Our guesthouse is located next to a cycling road, perfect for a leisurely bike ride through the beautiful surroundings. (Bicycles can be arranged upon request.) Shishiku Highlands (10 min by car): Enjoy paragliding, a gondola ride, and the Shishi Museum. Shirayama Hime Shrine (10 min by car): The head shrine of approximately 3,000 Hakusan shrines across Japan. Pilgrims come from all over the country to worship here. Watagataki Waterfall (5 min by car): A beautiful waterfall at Tedori Gorge, where the falling water looks like soft white cotton. Hot Springs (3 min by car): There are five different day-use hot springs near the guesthouse, each offering unique water qualities to enjoy.
