Olive Retreat is located in a quiet area overlooking Mt. Moiwa in central Sapporo, where you can enjoy the changing beauty of the mountains throughout the four seasons. The ski lifts, where you can enjoy both skiing and snowboarding, are just a 6-minute walk away! You can have fun anytime during your stay without needing a rental car or public transportation. From spring to autumn, the Kitanozawa trailhead of Mt. Moiwa is also nearby and easily accessible by rental bicycle. The view from the living room is beautiful, and it’s the perfect place for those who want to relax in nature away from the noise of the city. Although this is a homestay-style accommodation, the entire second floor is completely private for guests. The host lives on the first floor and can respond promptly to any requests. We would be happy to help make your stay in Sapporo a wonderful experience. About Our Facility Our facility is located at the foot of the mountains, surrounded by rich natural scenery. Due to our natural setting, small insects such as ladybugs may occasionally enter guest rooms depending on the season and weather conditions. While we take preventive measures, including insect repellents, it is difficult to completely eliminate this possibility. We kindly ask for your understanding before making a reservation. In addition, wild animals such as deer and squirrels inhabit the surrounding area and may sometimes appear in front of the facility. For everyone’s safety, we ask that you do not feed the animals and simply observe them from a distance. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to ensure the safety of both our guests and the wildlife.

About the Surrounding Area Our facility is located at the foot of Mount Moiwa, one of Japan’s “New Three Great Night Views.” From mid-April to mid-November, the entrance to the Mount Moiwa Sightseeing Road is just minutes away, allowing you to drive up to the mid-mountain station. From there, you can take the ropeway and mini cable car to the summit while enjoying beautiful panoramic views along the way. In addition, there are recommended ramen restaurants and gelato shops within a five-minute drive from the property, so you can also enjoy some of Sapporo’s local flavors during your stay. Please note that there are no convenience stores or supermarkets within walking distance of the property. Guests arriving by public transportation are especially advised to purchase groceries and any necessary items in advance before coming to the facility.
