I moved from the United States to Ishikawa in 2007 and have hardly looked back. I love living in rural Japan and all that it has to offer. If you are looking for sake recommendations, I know a good number of fantastic local brews. Give me a chance, and I'll talk your ear off about the various grades of sake and how it is made.

Located close to historical sights, the entertainment district, and a department store/supermarket frequented by locals, Masuizumi sits in a perfect location that allows guests to access to everything that Kanazawa has to offer, while also providing guests the experience of living like a local. Access to and from Kanazawa Station is straightforward, with frequent buses and direct routes to the station from Hirokoji bus stop. For those looking to experience something a bit removed from the urban environment, trains from Nomachi Station will take you to Tsurugi Station, a small town in Hakusan City that has great festivals and an old downtown that feels like something out of the past.
