JamboHouse Lamu is a small guesthouse in Lamu Town. We are not a 5 star resort - we offer budget accommodation with clean rooms and lots of information to make your stay in Lamu as good as possible. We have free wifi internet for our guests. During the day we have free coffee/tea on our terrace. On arrival we serve our guests a Welcome Drink, give them a map of Lamu and plenty of useful information. Two of the rooms have integrated bathrooms, our "budget" room has a private bathroom outside the room (via the corridor) but that bathroom is only for this room (NOT a shared bathroom!)

My name is Arnold, and I've been operating JamboHouse Lamu since 2008. Over the years, we've welcomed guests from all over the world and have consistently received excellent reviews. I love travelling and have visited almost 80 countries. Within Kenya, I have explored nearly every corner of the country—from Kiwayu Island to Wasini Island, from Mombasa to Lake Victoria and both the eastern and western shores of Lake Turkana. I've visited almost all of Kenya's national parks and hiked many of its highest mountains. I always say: "Lamu is the best place on the Kenyan Coast because it offers both culture and beautiful beaches." Lamu Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while Shela Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Kenya. Because I live here, I know the Lamu Archipelago well, and I'd like to help you make the most of your visit. If your booking has been fully paid, I'll happily send your itinerary before you travel. Otherwise, we'll go through it together during check-in. JamboHouse Lamu is located on one of the highest places in town. From our Top Roof guests have a nice view of Lamu Town, and can see sunrise. JamboHouse Lamu is located three minutes walking from Lamu Fort, five minutes walking from Lamu Museum. The closest (local) shop is just 30 m away.
