Welcome to Mami Wata House, The 3-bedroom house is nestled under a Baobab tree in the heart of the Diani Beach indigenous forest where you can enjoy direct public access to the most prized stretch one of Africa's best beaches, a short 600m walk from home. The house is lovingly finished with wooden features, old Swahili furnishings, house decor refurbished from old salvaged ships, and a fully equipped kitchen with a counter that doubles up as a pool bar. All three rooms are en-suite and are furnished with indoor and outdoor seating options offering enough space to feel at home or work away from home. With its own private pool and various outdoor lounges, you can relax in comfort, and enjoy the tranquillity of the garden. Our dogs, Hatchi, and Balu will be checking in for some company or a cuddle on occasion too. The aged garden offers good shade in every tone of green imaginable and an array of dazzling colours when in flower. Right in the middle of the compound is the Mother Tree, our ginormous Baobab approximately 1000 years old. For an excellent start to the day, we include a continental breakfast with a choice of eggs or vegan or gluten-free options. A detailed information card with all our contacts, a recommendation list of activities, and places to visit in Diani can be found in the room at check-in. We have a fully implemented recycling, repurposing, and composting waste management system between our properties, and we kindly ask all guests to help us reduce our waste offset by following the instructions in the kitchen. After all, Cleanliness is Happiness :) To avoid plastic bottles we offer fresh drinking water to all our guests. For a hot shower, we have a Solar Heater system installed. This house is a private area for in-house guests only and shares a compound with another 3-bedroom home situated in the opposite corner of the compound. Hi, I'm Kiko, My family moved to Diani in 1998, and as such I had the lucky chance of growing up on the beach where we have been exploring all the wonderful opportuinities this incredible coastline has to offer, and as your hosts, it's a pleasure to share all the tricks to help you plan your activities during your stay. Living in Diani, we are always in touch with the local conditions for watersports and can help you with recommendations on the best times and locations to enjoy memorable days on the water; whether you prefer a day trip, a tranquil cruise, surfing the waves, or harnessing the wind, we've got you covered. My partner Lana and I are a young couple, enjoy socialising, and are involved in the event scenes on the coast, so if you are looking for entertainment we can always point you in the right direction. We live nearby and can always be reached to assist guests during their stay.

It is a quiet residential area within a 600m walking distance to the best stretch of Diani where a direct public route gives you access to the South side of the beach at the Robinson Baobab Headland. It is from here that you can wallow in the Low-tide lagoons along the Nomad's area, or walk up the serene Galu Beach where you can find relaxing restaurants, cocktail bars, and watersports centres for Kitesurfing, Windsurfing, Canoeing and SUP. The house is located in the indigenous forest of Diani, the canopy of the indigenous trees, and the baobabs offer lovely shade, and a variety of wildlife can be enjoyed including Colobus, Sykes, Vervet monkeys, Yellow Baboons, and lots of species of birds too. For those beautiful days when you want to relax all day at the beach, you can rent a sunbed 1km away, at the Diani Fishing Club. Within a 2km range from the Mami Wata House, you can find Nomad's Restaurant, Diving the Crab, the Diani Fishing Club, Colobus Shade (fishermen community), and the Colobus Trust.
