Sukuma guest house blends the serenity of traditional Lamu architecture and design with all the contemporary needs of a vacation. Set in a landscaped garden, the property has four adjacent units, a swimming pool and a rooftop Yoga platform. Its central location makes access to shopping and restaurants easy for all and is only five minutes’ walk from the beach. All 4 units have fully equipped kitchens, bathroom and verandas. The houses are serviced (cleaning) and we can arrange for a chef to come and cook. Yoga classes available on request on Sukuma house Yoga platform.
We designed and built Sukuma House 13 years ago, inspired by Lamu and Swahili architecture. We live in Diani and are always ready to tend to hosts. We have 2 children who grew up in Sukuma house and consider it their home.
Diani is located on the Kenya South Coast and can boast for having the 10th most beautiful beach line in the world. You’ll be able to enjoy a vast array of water activities: diving, snorkeling, wind &kite surfing - or just sipping cocktails in one of the beach bar of Diani. Diani is only 3 hours away from Tsavo National Park for the best game Safaris.
