Ambiente is a simple but clean and welcoming guest house, with six perfectly acceptable en suite rooms. There is also a small restaurant offering predominantly Asian and Western dishes. All rooms, and the restaurant, have balconies overlooking the hills. Activities can include: treks to nearby caves and waterfalls, or to Lipton's Seat, birdwatching with local guides, cultural tours (Dowa cave temples, Maligavila Buddhist statue, Haputale monastary, Adisham), train journeys from Ella and a visit to Horton Plains.
