Stretched over 1.2 mi of private sandy beach, Bar Reef Resort - Dolphins, Kitesurfing & Wildlife in Kalpitiya offers rustic yet charming accommodations surrounded by landscaped gardens. From November to May, guests can hop on a daily boat in front of the Beach Club to watch dolphins and whales at close range. An infinity outdoor pool and on-site water sports activities are also available. The villas and cabanas available are simple but well-furnished. Each comes with a seating area and a private garden. The private outdoor bathrooms are equipped with cold-water showers. Bar Reef Resort - Dolphins, Kitesurfing & Wildlife is a 1-hour drive from Wilpattu National Park, famous for its leopards, elephants and bears. It is also a 2-hour drive from Bandaranaike International Airport. Colombo City is a 2-hour drive via the expressway. From May to October, take exciting kite surfing lessons at in-house school. Guests can also take yoga lessons or relax at the Ayurveda Spa. Alternatively, just approach staff at the resort's tour desk to arrange a selection of day trips. Airport transfers are also available at an extra charge. The on-site restaurant serves both international and Sri Lankan cuisines.
