A visionary, who was awarded the commendation prize for the ‘Geoffery Bawa Award for Excellence in Architecture’. The design cleverly handles space and aspects of modernist minimalism from the west, at the same time, stays true to authentic regional tropical minimalism, allowing integration with the environment. Characterised by the ground floor gallery space, which has a social open-plan design with a central open atrium over a lit central water feature. A dramatic platform for guests to indulge in a seamless experience of natural light, water and sound, breathing through the house with un-interrupted views across the swimming pool, onto one of the widest white sandy beaches in Southern Sri-Lanka. ​Bieshu Beach Hive is a “sister” B&B to Galle Henna Estate, Talpe and Galle Henna Beach House Unawatuna Beach.
