Neighborhood info

D canal house is situated in a very quiet area nestled amidst lush vegetation however it is only a 15 minute walk to the famous Mirissa beach. There are a large number of restaurants/bars where one can spend the evenings looking at the beautiful starry night skies. Mirissa is very safe as a destination as the rest of Sri Lanka is, obviously one would need to be a bit careful not to leave expensive computer/camera/mobile phones unattended. Unfortunately there is little in Sri Lanka specifically designed for kids however if sandy beaches is what is one after there is in abundance.
