Leisure Mount View is a family-run, sustainable stay nestled in the misty hills of Haputale, just 1 km from Haputale town and conveniently located between Stages 12 and 13 of The Pekoe Trail.

Surrounded by the beauty of the hill country, the property looks directly towards a working tea plantation, offering guests a peaceful setting to slow down, enjoy the cool mountain air and experience the character of Haputale.

Food is at the heart of our hospitality. We serve authentic Haputale and Sri Lankan cuisine, prepared using traditional family recipes and locally sourced ingredients. Guests can also join our hands-on Sri Lankan cooking class, learning about local ingredients, spices and traditional methods while preparing a meal together.

Our cooking experience has a purpose beyond the kitchen. Money generated through our cooking classes directly supports the education of children in the Haputale community, while our wider community initiatives create opportunities to support and empower single mothers and local women.

For a quiet morning or a misty afternoon, guests can enjoy locally grown Sri Lankan tea, espresso, cappuccino, coffee and matcha, while overlooking the surrounding greenery and tea country.

Leisure Mount View is also an ideal base for discovering some of the highlights of Sri Lanka's hill country, including Lipton’s Seat, Dambatenne Tea Factory, Adisham Bungalow, Thangamale Bird Sanctuary and Horton Plains National Park.
