Lucky is also the leading instructor at our surf school & camp with over 6 years of teaching experience. Born in Weligama, Lucky started surfing at the age of 11 and won his first contest at the age of 16. To date, he won most of the country’s surfing contests, including recent prestigious “Best local surfer” award at WSL QS3000 in Arugambay, Red Bull Ride My Wave 2019 (for the 2nd time), and National Surf series (Madiha, Dec 2019). Lucky also represented Sri Lanka in the World Surfing Games in Japan (September 2019). Lucky's Surf Camp is a cozy hotel with 6 rooms only, located in Weligama - the most thriving surf area and perfect beach to start your surfing journey in Sri Lanka. The camp is nestled in an area full of palm trees, picturesque and quiet, just 1 min walk to the beach, yet close to shops, cafes and bars. All our rooms are decorated and well equipped to make your stay with us comfortable. We also have a common area where our guests can relax and meet other travellers.
