We live with our family in an independent house below the villa. We will be happy to share with you some tips about the places to discover around. Breakfast can be ordered and will be served on the terrace with ocean view. All dishes are homemade with fresh and local products.

SLOW, it's time for a break : Nestled between the jungle and the ocean, you will enjoy the quietness of our villa and garden. Built on top of the hill, the property offers a breathtaking view over Unakuruwa Bay. The beach below is less than 5 minutes walk, perfect to swim, snorkle and surf. Our tropical garden, its majestic tree and the local wildlife living around are an invitation to slow down. Take your time. Enjoy every moment. Birds singing at sunrise. Soothing breeze in the middle of the day. The flavour of a ripe fruit. The grimace of a monkey watching you... before jumping back into the jungle. The color of the stones at sunset. The magic of a moonlight night. Access to the villa is via a sloping path from the main road. Vehicles can park at the top of this slope. The uphill walk, a bit sporty, is rewarded by the breathtaking view, the calm and freshness you will enjoy from the hilltop.

The villa is located in the heights of Unakuruwa and all points of interest in the village are at walking distance. There are several beaches below. Unakuruwa beach (less than 5 minutes) is a fishing bay, perfect for surfing, snorkeling, bodyboarding or swimming. The bay is protected and allows to bathe safely with children most of the time. A little further (10-15 minutes), you will find paradise beaches such as Silent Beach and Walatha Jungle Beach. There are small shops in the village (grocery, fruits and vegetables, seafood, etc.) and several restaurants (local food like rice & curry, grilled fish and seafood as well as western food). We can also connect you to local partners offering experiences such as surfing lesson, srilankan cooking class, lagoon kayak, yoga, massage... The main town nearby is Tangalle (less than 10 minutes by tuktuk), where you will find a big market, craft shops, all kind of stores and services (health, banks, etc) and 2 supermarkets. If you are looking for a more lively vibe for a change, Hiriketiya (15 min by tuktuk) offers other attractions: many western restaurants, cafes, bars, shops... Hiriketiya is also a nice bay, very popular for surfing.
