Dear Guest, Welcome to the Bird Gate Villa located at the riverfront in Galle. The property is only 10min away by tuk tuk from Galle bus station, yet it is situated in a local quiet area surrounded by wild nature, peace and bird sounds. The property is a private villa with a big private garden and river flowing by. The room consists of one king size bed with mosquito net, air-conditioning, a flat-screen sattelite TV, a wardrobe, a kitchenette and a large bathroom. Additionally, there is enough space to add one extra single bed. Upon request there is a possibility to use the kitchen in the additional building within the territory. The outside area accommodates a big terrace with dining table, and a hammock to relax in. There is free parking available inside for your car / scooter / tuk tuk, protected with a big gate. My wife is a wonderful cook, and we will welcome you with a home made breakfast every morning. In the evenings the barbecue can be used for a nice grilled fish or veggies.

The property is situated in a local nature area with family houses and quiet local life. The river behind the house is especially perfect for a bird watching safari that we arrange for our lovely guests. To the south the river meets the ocean and there are several beaches for swimming, surfing and even turtle watching about 600 meters from the house. For surfing spots like Rivermouth and Galle are within easy reach from the housing. The city center and old Dutch Fort are 10 minutes away by tuk tuk ride that I can provide for your comfort.
