Hello there, I'm your host, Steven. I'm the founder and artist of Sakura Living. My home serves as the guesthouse of Sakura Living. With Sakura Living, I aim to empower others to transform their daily lives into an adventure of co-creation and self-mastery. Over the last 12 years, I designed and created four collections of interior decorations with the artisans of Marrakesh. Based on my previous engagement in personal development and my hands-on experiences of co-creation I wrote the Sakura guide;" Adopting the Sakura Lifestyle". I gift this guide with all of the Sakura Living creations. Obviously, I also have them around in the house. In short, it describes how we can all adopt the strategies of nature (rooting & letting go), to free ourselves from our unconscious and controlling mind. Following this process of co-creation, we get to manifest our potential in the most natural way. Of course, we offer the traditional excursions and touristic activities, specific to Marrakesh. And we also invite you to explore the process of co-creation in the most practical manner. Riad Al Ibtikar is the guesthouse of Sakura Living. “Ibtikar” is Arabic and translates into innovation and creation. An oasis of tranquillity in the midst of the busy city. It is a place to rest, connect and explore new opportunities and possibilities. Our intention goes beyond the "meet and greet". The artist decorated the riad inline with the Sakura Lifestyle. Besides the traditional touristic excursions, our offer extends to explore the artisan community and the process of co-creation. From a visit to our atelier, to a guided tour through the artisans craftsmanship and way of living. Each moment has the potential for a new beginning. Whether you’re an interior designer, a business owner or you’re looking to beautify and harmonize your home, we’re here to assist and guide you through the process of co-creation.

Riad Al Ibtikar is located in the heart of the medina of Marrakesh, 350 meters from the famous square, Jemaa El Fna and the Sakura Living atelier is just around the corner. All the different rooftop restaurants and shops are within walking distance from the Riad, as well the different visitor attractions (musea, palaces, souks and gardens). The Koutoubia is a 7 min. walk during the day and with a little taxi, you're at the airport in 15 min. We'll be happy to assist with any transfers.
