We acquired the property in 2016, and after carefully modernising the building to include all the 5 star comforts any luxury traveller might desire, we opened the doors to clients seeking a home from which to begin their journey of an authentic and culturally enriching Moroccan experience. We love Moroccan food and culture, and Riad Kaiss is a gateway to the warmth and welcome of this amazing country. We look forward to seeing you with us.

Kaiss is a re-purposed 16th century "riad", which is a traditional Moroccan town home built around a central courtyard, and located in the old ramparted city of Medina. It was once the home of Sultan Yacoub, Ruler of Marrakech. It was then bought in the 80's by famous French architect Christian Ferre. His life long research and immersion in Moorish and Islamic arts are what inspired Ferre during his 25 years of expert restoration. He devoted his life to this project, working until his last days to bring the building back to his vision of it's former glory.
