Riad La Cigale is managed by Yassmine, a proud Marrakchi who is passionate about her heritage and culture and is the perfect host to welcome you to both Marrakech and Morocco. Yassmine speaks English, French, Turkish and Arabic, and studies physics at the University in her spare time. Her passion is to introduce visitors to the secrets and wonders of Marrakech, and to ensure a rejuvenating experience for our guests upon their return.

Riad La Cigale has been a guest house since 1992, when two Italian designers, using traditional materials and methods, transformed this 17th century Moroccan home into a unique and peaceful retreat in the heart of the medina. Our five unique rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, seamlessly blend Moroccan architectural tradition and modern comfort. Our courtyard, salon, library and two rooftop terraces combine Moroccan and French styles to offer serenity and respite, even while five-minutes from Jmaa el-Fnaa, the historic center of Marrakech and a UNESCO World Heritage site. At Riad la Cigale, we are always here to guide you to the best sites, markets and restaurants, to offer advice and arrange travel, and to ensure that your experience of Morocco is magical, safe and surprising. We offer every guest a hearty breakfast, with homemade bread, fresh squeezed juice and Moroccan specialties. Lunch and dinner, too, are available, prepared by our in-house chef. If you book one of our personalized cooking classes, you can learn the secrets of Moroccan cuisine, create a Tagine or Tangia and enjoy the fruits of your labor by candlelight on our rooftop terrace. And please pamper yourself at our spa/hamma with a rejuvenating Moroccan beauty treatment (complete with black soap and argan oil). We look forward to welcoming you!

Riad La Cigale is located in a quiet alley in Derb Dabachi and just a short walk from one of the main shopping and eating streets of the medina. We are two minutes from Jemaa al-Fnaa where the foodstalls, the music, the story-tellers, the henna artists will captivate you like no other space on earth. We will gladly direct you to the Secret Garden, the souks, local museums and palaces, restaurants and all the other sites in magical Marrakech. None are more than fifteen minutes away!
