The house is around 100 years old. Renovated last 5 years keeping the old traditional aspects of architecture.
Modric-macedonian coziest village Location: The village of Modric is found in the southwestern range at the foot of the Jablanica mountain range. It is situated from 900 – 1000 metres above sea level. The village is located 31 km North-West of the town of Struga and 28km of Debar. The village is situated near the villages of Drenok and Lukovo and with the Albanian border to the West of the village.The culture in the village is traditional and comes from many years ago. Culture and History : The people who used to live in Modric are with mijaks culture, Mijaks (Macedonian: Мијаци/Mijaci) are an ethnographic group of Macedonians who live in the Lower Reka (Dolna Reka) region which is also known as Mijačija, along the Radika river, in western North Macedonia, numbering 30,000-60,000 people. The Mijaks practise predominantly animal husbandry, and are known for their ecclesiastical architecture, woodworking, iconography, and other rich traditions, as well as their characteristic western dialect of the Macedonian language. History from ottoman period : Modric fortress which was located in this village had a great importance during Ottoman rule because of its strategic position
