Stay in a freshly renovated two-bedroom farm stay, ideal for families and nature lovers. The accommodation features a master bedroom with a double bed, a children's bedroom with a bunk bed (sleeping two), and an additional single bed in the container kitchen area for one extra adult Enjoy your private fenced garden with mountain views, a covered terrace, outdoor dining area, lounge space and your own fireplace, perfect for cosy evenings under the stars. Breakfast is delivered to your terrace from 7:30 am in a basket, prepared mainly with seasonal produce harvested from our farm. Filtered drinking water is provided, and a Weber barbecue is available (charcoal at an additional cost). Relax around your private boma as night falls and enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. The swimming pool is available from October to April only. La Petite Ferme is part of La Meule Permaculture Ecovillage, a 23-acre landscape between the mountains and the sea. Designed using regenerative permaculture principles, the farm is home to gardens, wildlife and peaceful natural surroundings where guests can reconnect with nature. We highly recommend our guided farm tour, where you'll discover how a former sugar cane field is being transformed into a thriving ecosystem. We live on the property and are happy to assist while respecting your privacy. As this is an active working farm, you may occasionally see our family, our young child and our friendly dogs. Guests are welcome to explore the farm, but children must always be supervised by an adult.

La Petite Ferme is located in the peaceful countryside of Bambous Virieux, on the authentic east coast of Mauritius. Surrounded by farmland, mountains and nature, it is the perfect place to unwind, disconnect from the crowds and experience the island at a slower pace. Although we are only 30 minutes from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, the farm feels wonderfully secluded. The final part of your journey takes you along a dirt road through sugar cane fields, giving you the feeling of arriving somewhere truly special. As this is a rural area, shops, supermarkets and restaurants are limited nearby. We recommend purchasing any essentials before arriving so you can fully relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. La Petite Ferme is an ideal base for discovering the authentic south-east of Mauritius. Blue Bay Marine Park and Île aux Cerfs are just 20–25 minutes away, while several hiking trails and mountain walks can be enjoyed independently or with a guide. Boat trips, snorkelling, kayaking and other outdoor activities are available nearby, and relaxing massages can be arranged at the farm with advance booking. Nature lovers will appreciate the rich birdlife, fresh country air and the opportunity to experience a more authentic side of Mauritius, far from the busy tourist areas.
