My wife, Ali, is from the Seattle area, went to Washington State, loves to cook, and volunteers daily at the local animal shelter. I am from Tennessee, moved to Seattle in 2004, and am the volunteer Executive Director of a nonprofit, Global Impact Homes, that builds homes for those in need throughout the world. We travel as much as possible, and found the Mexican people, especially in Zihuatanejo, to be warm and friendly. We live in Zihua full-time. We are from Seattle, but currently living in Zihua. We are here to help with any questions that you may have, and to make sure your stay is 100% enjoyable. We offer kitchen stocking services, as well as can help with airport pickup and any activities you may be interested in. On arrival you will find a welcome packet that should answer every question that may come up during your stay. When we are not available we have our friend and Mexican, Leonel, manage the property for us. He is available to help with tours as well!

Neighborhood info

The neighborhood is extremely safe to walk day or night. There are hundreds of restaurants and bars to choose from, as well as souvenir shops, small markets, grocery stores, and drug stores. Anything you need can be found within walking distance. The beach is great. It is sandy and perfect for tossing a football or frisbee. You can walk 100 feet into the water before it hits your knees. It is mostly calm, but you can do some boogie boarding and beginner surfing. A taxi stand is located in front of the condo complex. A taxi to town, Sams Club or the grocery store costs between 50 and 70 pesos. The bus stops in front of the casa every 5 minutes and costs 10 pesos to town, La Ropa Beach, or to the pathway to Las Gatas Beach. The bus from Zihuatanejo to Ixtapa costs 15 pesos.
