Hidden among lush vegetation, on a quiet hill in Playa Zipolite known as “La Loma,” LALO is a stays concept rooted in the serenity of the Pacific, embracing the functional simplicity of polished concrete, wood, palm, and natural light. Each space is a minimalist refuge to rest, create, or reconnect, located just five minutes from the beach and the main street—ideal for those seeking calm and privacy on the coast of Oaxaca. Our approach is to keep things simple and functional, creating an environment where less is enough.

I work remotely and spend part of the year in Playa Zipolite, where I personally manage LALO in La Loma, a lodging concept focused on calm, privacy, and simplicity. I’m always available to support our guests and ensure a peaceful, well-cared-for stay.

Colonia Roca Blanca is one of the quietest areas in Playa Zipolite, known for its relaxed residential feel and natural surroundings. The neighborhood moves at a slower rhythm than other parts of town, making it a lovely choice for those who value rest and privacy. During high season, some nearby hotels may host gatherings and occasional music can be heard. Even so, Roca Blanca generally maintains a calm atmosphere, and many guests appreciate the balance between tranquility and proximity to the village center in “El Adoquín” and the beach. From La Loma, the beach and main street are just a five-minute walk away. Along the way, cafés and restaurants appear among palm-lined paths, offering easy access to local life. Very close by is Soirée, our sister project. LALO guests are welcome to enjoy its shared spaces, including a quiet daytime café, a relaxed evening atmosphere, the pool, and Mezcalería Gota Gorda.
