Welcome to Casa del Mar. I’m Michael, and together with a small local team we enjoy sharing this special corner of Baja with guests who appreciate the ocean, nature, and a slower rhythm of life.
Our house manager Manny will usually welcome you on arrival. A longtime local surfer with deep knowledge of the East Cape, he’s a great resource for surf conditions, beaches, swim spots, turtle nesting areas, and the best places to explore nearby. Manny also helps keep everything running smoothly during your stay and is available if you need anything.
Casa del Mar was created as a peaceful place between desert and sea where people can relax, explore, and feel at home. We hope Casa del Mar feels like a place where you can relax, enjoy the sea and desert, and experience the quiet beauty of the East Cape.

Casa del Mar is a small, peaceful beachfront villa on the quiet East Cape of Baja California Sur, halfway between Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park and San José del Cabo. With only four loft-style suites, the atmosphere is intimate and relaxed — more like a private retreat than a hotel — surrounded by desert landscape, wide skies, and sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez.
Guests come here for the simple rhythm of Baja life. Mornings often begin with coffee on the terrace as the sun rises over the sea, followed by a walk down to the endless beach. Surfers can check nearby breaks, swimmers and snorkelers enjoy the clear water, and marine lovers explore the extraordinary reefs of Cabo Pulmo. It’s not uncommon to spot whales migrating along the East Cape, passing offshore in a quiet reminder of the wild beauty of this coastline.
Back at Casa del Mar, the spaces are designed for relaxed indoor–outdoor living. Guests share an infinity pool overlooking the sea, a hot tub beneath Baja’s star-filled skies, a fire pit for evening gatherings, a grill, and a yoga deck for morning stretches.
