Nestled within the UNESCO Heritage Site and facing the Malacca River, this century-old house was once a dental clinic — a quiet witness to the passing of time and the rhythm of old Malacca. When we discovered it, the house had long been neglected, yet its soul remained. We’ve lovingly preserved it as much as possible, keeping the torn wall paint, original staircases (might not be suitable for very elderly guests or those with mobility issues), old window frames, and sturdy wooden beams — all of which still whisper stories from hundreds of years ago. Most of the original elements remain untouched, thoughtfully complemented with vintage furniture and reclaimed wood to retain its raw, nostalgic charm. We wish to give our guests as much privacy as possible. However, if you ever need any help or local recommendations, we’re more than happy to assist during your stay. Inside the house, you’ll also find a booklet featuring maps, stories about the people and culture of Malacca’s old streets, and some historical insights about our neighborhood — a little guide to help you experience the city more deeply.
