We’ve got 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, two living areas (so kids and adults can spread out), a full kitchen plus a kitchenette, and two balconies with a great view of the beach and sunset. One of my favorite parts of the house is the garden — it’s a huge 500m² space where kids can run around safely, kick a ball, or even camp out for a night under the stars. There’s also lots of room to park if you’re coming with more than one car. We’ve made sure there are both indoor and outdoor braai spots, because nothing beats cooking outside after a long beach day. And speaking of the beach — it’s only a 300-meter walk, close enough that you can go back and forth easily without piling into a car. This place has been perfect for our own family holidays, and I think it could be the same for you. It’s peaceful, practical, and just really easy to settle into. Henties Bay has always been a place where my family could truly slow down, connect, and make memories. My mother designed this home with family time in mind, and some of our best moments were spent gathered around the dinner table—laughing, sharing stories, and always with a cup of coffee in hand. We spent our childhood running barefoot to the beach, climbing walls, exploring dunes, and going horse riding. Henties Bay is full of little surprises—and a sense of adventure is just part of the lifestyle here. One of the places I always tell people about is the hidden Dead Sea just outside town. It’s a bumpy drive to get there, but absolutely worth it. Floating in that salty water is something you’ll remember for the rest of your life. In town, things are relaxed but never boring. You’ll find great local spots to eat like Misty Bay, Fishy Corner, and De Duine. For fun, there’s everything from horse riding and dune-boarding to fishing, mini-golf, tennis courts, and even a full golf course.
