The Bee is a 4500m2 property that comprises of Trekkershuts, an Apartment and Bistro. As the name suggests it is also is home to an Apiary with about 10 bee colonies. If you're lucky you will see the bee keeper at work and be able to sample some honey first hand. Next to the Apiary is an orchard with well established pear and apple trees. The property provides a large garden and play area for kids. The Bee is just 40min away from central Amsterdam to the south and the North Coast Beaches to the west. The nautical town of Medemblik can be reached by bike in just under 5min. The Bistro provides breakfast service upon request. Please check our website for upto date open hours for lunch and diner.
Welcome to THE BEE! In early 2021, we, Vickey and Björn - both expats from the UK and Germany respectively - decided to embark on a new adventure and bought what was then the Pannenkoekenstation and de Bijenstal. The approximately 4500 m2 property has gradually transformed over the past 20 years. What started out as a farm and then an apiary soon became a museum where model railways were also on display. Trekkerhuts were added and finally the cafe was opened in 2017. We are small, family run and would like to invite you to stay with us in an tranquil and relaxing environment. enjoy the nature and authenticity West-Friesland provides in plenty.
