The room is spacious, clean , has everything you need for the trip. Staff is helpful. Spa and gym is a bonus. There is laundry and iron on the first floor. We like the July and will definitely come back.

The breakfast was a little weird, we had to wait for them to come to our table and get our order. Not so many options available, considering a hotel breakfast. But, what was available was very good.

AustraliaThis hotel had the best reception staff I have ever experienced. On arrival you are personally greeted and offered an arrival drink. I had tea as I was exhausted! It gets you off to a very good start. Our room was amazing, downstairs on the canal with a special chair that allowed you to sit level with the canal and watch the boats go by. I have never stayed in anything like it. I loved our stay here.

I requested the 16th floor and the view was incredible. The elevator takes 45 seconds, it's really high up. I brought my 18x binoculars, when the weather was clear I was able to see Amsterdam landmarks such as Adam Tower, Westerkerk, Rembrant tower, Zuidas, etc, over 26km away. Really cool to see this stuff from Zandvoort.

Love the boat trips, views, and the relaxed atmosphere.
Love the boat trips, views, and the relaxed atmosphere. We travelled as a family to see the Barbie Dream House which was great fun. We had pizza on a boat cruise and chips at Fabels. On route to our boat trip we stopped at the science museum roof to see the great view and enjoy a refreshment. We walked at lot but most people ride bikes everywhere. You can hire a bike locally or have them delivered to your hotel. We also visited Adam's Tower which we also enjoyed, seeing such great views of the city and walked around '9 streets', where there are lost of interesting shops. Our last stop was the Anne Frank Museum which I have been to before but has been extended since my last visit.

Perfect beach front for family with young kids, all the restaurants are very child friendly the beach is not deep so I wasn’t worried for the kids.. Nuis and Kayuca are great restaurants in the beach front.. We occasionally dig in the food trucks which is delicious as well.. The beach will be enough to keep the kids busy and for the parents to relax 😎

We arrived quite early and were hoping for early check in but that was not possible, but they kept our luggage so we could go exploring around. Very close to the train station. New and modern hotel, everything is clean and fresh. The breakfast was great. Housekeeping was not consistent, one day the room was not cleaned, only one bed was made. But overall good stay.

Schiphol is one of the largest airports in Europe and equally confusing. The signage is terrible. We were told to get to the airport three hours before flight time and it took MORE THAN THREE HOURS TO GET THROUGH THE maize of security checks, passport control and merchandize declarations. we were two minutes late for our boarding and they wouldn't let us board

This would be good place to live.
This would be good place to live. Loads of great walking trails, alongside pretty canals. It's like a mini city near airport and a couple miles from a huge park called Amsterdamse Bos. Huge park of 2500 acres so 3 times the size of Central Park in New York.

Haarlem is a wonderful city it feels safe & is clean & welcoming. Easily reached by train from Schipol airport which takes you into a large well organised train station that lies just to the North of the main city & its canals. The canals are worth exploring with a guided or self drive tour. A walk out to the former Victorian era round prison is worthwhile it has been converted into work spaces, offices, cinema, restaurant & hotel. The city walls are all gone but there is one gate that has been renovated although it is not open it gives an idea of the scale. The windmill is well worth a visit it is run by enthusiastic & knowledgeable volunteers.

The location of the hotel was great, there was a supermarket just across the road and the train station not far away.
The bedding was super comfortable and the breakfast was great.
However, to the right of the hotel after exiting, could do with a cleanup, not sure that this area was actually part of the hotel though

The town is quite small with everything being in close proximity to each other which is great! Plenty of different types of restaurants to cater for every taste.
The Post Office is situated in a bike shop, if you need to send a card back home - speedy service our cards arrived within a week, brilliant. Two supermarkets are located at the edge of town, Lili, and Jumbo so very easy to use.
Point to note, generally in Holland cash has virtually become redundant being a cashless society.So if you bring 100's with you be prepared to take them back, that't how life is becoming, sadly!

Egmond aan Zee is a charming little beach town in the Netherlands with all the shops and Restaurants you could wish for.
As a family of four we liked to walk to the Dekamarkt for our daily breakfast and snacks at the beach. At night we would eat at restaurants, at the typically Dutch snackbar 'Bij Brigitte' or eat Kibbeling(fish) at the Coast.
We rented bikes for the day to travel further out. The remains of a castle in Egmond aan de Hoef was very interesting for our preteens and the next coastal town over 'Bergen aan Zee' was lovely as well. We visted the Aquarium there which was facinating for the entire family.
Venturing out by foot into the Duinen is recommended as well. We saw wild Horses, oxes and a gorgeous sunset.
In the Smidstraat there was a little secondhand Shop full of antiques. So much so that it seemed more a Museum than a shop!
Everybody seemed to be able to speak a little German and if not their amazing english skills were impressive!
