The room was very clean and tidy. I had a big, comfortable bed, TV with different english shows, a nice bathroom and a kitchen. It also included a microwave, different kitchen appliances, mini refrigerator and coffee machine. The staff was very nice and welcoming, as well as the atmosphere of the whole hotel. Additionally, you have an access to a mini snack bar where you can get yourself a little snack anytime you want. I’m pretty satisfied with my choice, that’s a very good place to stay in Amsterdam.

This would be good place to live.

This would be good place to live. Loads of great walking trails, alongside pretty canals. It's like a mini city near airport and a couple miles from a huge park called Amsterdamse Bos. Huge park of 2500 acres so 3 times the size of Central Park in New York.

We took the tram into Amsterdam every day, so we didn't have the opportunity to get to know Amstelveen. City Den was next door to another hotel (Ibis) but there didn't seem to be much more around. We asked for restaurants close by, staff said there were a couple down the road. We purchased groceries for breakfast at Albert's in Amsterdam since we prefer to stay in for coffee and breakfast to eliminate hunting and wasting time to eat.

Bovenkerk is the nearest settlement, and it boasts a very lively restaurant called Silversant. The walk there is about 15 minutes along made up paths (mind toe bikes and horses). The facilities at the resort are basic but very adequate. When we tour, all we want is a clean and comfortable place to sleep, and this fit the bill exactly.

The transportation system in and around Amsterdam is easy to...

The transportation system in and around Amsterdam is easy to navigate. It took a few tries to find our way around, but once we understood how things worked, it was fairly straight forward. Just remember to tap in and out when you use your bankcard to pay on the trams, otherwise you'll end up paying the maximum of a day (which weren't really horrible). Most of the signs in and around Amstelveen was in Dutch only, even the menu at the local restaurant, but that wasn't an issue for us. We used the area mainly as a place to stay the nights since we didn't want to stay downtown Amsterdam.

Beautiful town, very well located, autumn vibes, good staff service, solved all doubts, pretty, counted with facilities. Maybe you wouldn't rest as you want because everything could be heard even if your door is close but everything was clean

Reasonable cost for parking (anywhere in Europe frankly) is my motivation to look outside of centre of city areas and then use local transport or walk. Parking costs at hotels in our budget in Amsterdam city were very high - secure convenient Q-park station in Amsterveen was E18 per day compared to E40-50 a day at hotels closer to the centre.

The room was very large, clean and confortable. The hotel is very nice and clean. The breakfast was good. Location is a bit far from Amsterdam but we arrived there by car, so it was ok. There is a tram going from the hotel area (station at 10 min walking distance) to the city (at Zuid metro station) and we bought a 2 days transport pass, so it was convenient.

The appartment had enough space and was well equipped. The staff in the hotel is extremely friendly. There is a shopping center close to the hotel with a large supermarket. It takes 30 minutes to the Amsterdam city center with the tram, the tram stop is very close to the hotel. Calm area around the hotel with a small park. Really a great location.

Nice, quiet apart-hotel in Amsterdam suburbs, with all employees very friendly and helpful. Wonderful rooftop restaurant, serving great breakfasts with plenty of choice. Excellent location not so far from city centre - Rijskmuseum 20 minutes by tram and Centraal Station 30 minutes by tram and subway.
